Relevant Training Session: Ensuring that the machine is prepared for the next work activity and making the machine secure.
Learning Outcome: This unit is designed to confirm that the candidate is able to shut down and secure the machine to the requirements of the workplace. It ensures that the candidate is able to work safely in the company of others and is aware of the impact that his/her operations will have on others. It ensures that the candidate is able to monitor the equipment to maintain safety throughout the activity and that he/she carries out operations safely.
Assessment: Trainees will be encouraged to build their skills by guided practice, culminating in a formal practical assessment, together with a knowledge questionnaire.
